Focusing on 4 or 8 basic fundamental skills of rugby, we have designed a number of specialists skill games that you can use in warm up’s or skill sessions within your team, camp trainings, classroom or even before a game!

// GAME #1 - BRO TO 10 // 

Get two teams together- the first team to perform 10 skills wins - sounds easier than it is! Depending on the level of the players playing you can choose the amount of space you use. And as the players confidence grows you can add on an other defender option.
Defender option 1: To begin, the defender can only intercept the skill.
 
Defender option 2: The defenders can make a touch and face a turnover.
 
Defender option 3: The next add on is a contact component, the defenders can now make a tackle. If the attacker with the ball is under pressure, and has made contact with the defender he/she may off-load to the receiver. 
 
This game is great to use during warm-ups and fitness sessions.

 // GAME #2 - BRO IN THE MIDDLE // 

A fun play on the popular childhood game Piggy in the Middle, Bro in the Middle is a game that can be played with kids of all ages and adults.
Games Rules: Stand around in a circle with one person/defender in the middle. 
Pass the ball around the circle, performing the skill that your right thumb lands on when you catch the ball. CATCH the ball, READ the skill, SAY the skill out loud, LISTEN to what skill is to be performed, PERFORM the skill. Try to go as long as possible without the defender intercepting the pass. 
This is a great game for practicing basic skills under pressure. It improves hand eye coordination, reaction time, pattern and colour recognition and how to call your play.
This game is great to use during warmups and fitness session.
